Immunization reduces morbidity and mortality

Effective and timely immunization contributes greatly to the positive health and development of children. Every month, TGF supported health center staff organize community outreach activities in 28 remote villages. During the events, families in communities that have difficulty accessing routine care and services have the opportunity to immunize their children with essential vaccinations to promote healthy development.
Immunizations available include vaccines against Tuberculosis (TB), Polio, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Measles, and Japanese encephalitis. TGF plays a critical role in supervising the immunizations and ensuring compliance with national guidelines.

“The vaccine is very important for my son and also for other children in my village because it can prevent them from contracting certain diseases. I always bring my son to receive vaccinations when Health Centre staff come to provide the vaccine in my village”.
– Ms Soy Sey, 24, Dong Pa Arv village, Pongro Krom commune
