This December, TGF hosted the Cambodia Run Challenge 2025, our annual fundraiser that takes a handful of ultra-marathon runners through the villages of Chi Kraeng District, where we have supported communities since 2008, before finishing at the iconic Angkor Wat Half Marathon. The funds raised help TGF continue our work in Children’s Education, Health, Water & Sanitation, and Income Generation.

This year, three dedicated runners- Mark Ferguson, Alex Wilton, and Julien Monguillot – completed the challenge, running over a marathon each day through TGF-supported villages on 5th and 6th December, before joining the Angkor Wat Half Marathon on 7th December. Over the two days in the villages, the runners saw firsthand the impact of TGF’s programs: renovated libraries, piped water systems, school gardens, biogas facilities, and health and nutrition initiatives. Students, teachers, and local families cheered the runners along parts of the route, making it a truly community-focused experience.

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this yearly event possible. This includes the auction dinner in Hong Kong, where generous supporters donated auction items that play a crucial role in raising funds for the run. Thank you also to all the runners, who took time away from work, family, and personal commitments to travel to Cambodia, support TGF, and mobilize their friends, families, and networks to reach such incredible results.
A special thanks to Mark Ferguson, the founder of the Cambodia Run, who spends endless hours organizing every detail – from recruiting runners to managing the auction and dinner in Hong Kong – ensuring the event’s success year after year.

Thanks to everyone’s support, the Cambodia Run Challenge 2025 raised over USD 150,000, which will go directly to our programs and help improve the livelihoods of children and families in rural communities.
We’re already excited to welcome many of you back in Cambodia next year, and finishing the Cambodia Run 2025 is just the start of thinking ahead to the 2026 edition!
